We would like to reassure you, our Puppy Raisers and Temp Carers, that all the pups and staff at the Guide Dogs Centre are safe and sound. While both the Windsor and North Richmond bridges remain closed the Centre is situated well above the waterline and is being attended by staff and volunteers who live on the Glossodia side of the river. There is, as yet, no indication as to when the bridges will reopen but we remain hopeful that we will be able to return to business as usual next week.
For those of you who were meant to bring your pup in for assessment this week the training team is working on the assumption that the bridges will be open and are planning to forge ahead with Intake. They will let you know closer to the time if anything changes.
We would like to extend our thanks to those of you who have kept puppies longer than anticipated, taken pups into temporary care or offered to assist in other ways. As we're always sating, we could not do what we do without you, so thank you!
